The Church  of Jesus Christ is the most important institution in the whole universe.

She (the Bride of Christ) is:

• ’The Assembly of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven’

Hebrews 12:23

• The Church belongs to the ‘kingdom that cannot be shaken’

Hebrews 12:28

• The Church (the called out ones) is the only institution where the power of Hades and death will not prevail (Matthew 16:18)

Romans 8:19

[19] For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. (ESV)

Intro:

I think it was around 1985 or maybe 1986, when GIBC sent a team to Winnipeg to help out and be the catalysts of a new church plant with a core group in Winnipeg. Fast forward to 1987, our whole family came to faith in Christ thru the invitation of my wife’s co-worker who was part of the core group.

Ephesians 3:8–10 (ESV)

[8] To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, [9] and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, [10] so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
